Unix Services - Product Knowledge Base
This PKB represents a minimal subset of services available on an Unix server. Other operating systems will have similar message flows, but might have different entities involved. Use the internal view to see the components involved. The external view only shows the flows between the User and the Server as a whole. See the Message-Diagrams for more generic information on the interactive message generation. Remember that the graphical Message Diagram is only shown when the flow is finished.
Simple Example Message-Diagram
The following example shows an User starting a telnet session, which is rejected because there is no listener active. The flow can be re-generated and adapted.
